Between sizes? Go by head measurement rather than age. Measure around the widest part of the head, just above the eyebrows and ears.
Hand wash in cold water and reshape while damp, then air dry out of direct sun. Skip the washing machine and dryer, and your hat will hold its shape and colour for many more beach days. Beanies: hand wash and dry flat.

Washed cotton canvas for the caps and bucket hats, knitted cotton for the beanies. Breathable on hot heads and soft on sensitive skin, with no scratchy synthetics. They’re comfy enough that minis actually leave them on.

Every hat has been through the Sonny test: three boys, a lot of playgrounds and more than one beach day. If it gets pulled off, chucked in the pram basket and dropped in the sand, it’s still going strong.

- Coffee Club Caps (adults): One size, 58cm, with the same adjustable strap and brass clasp.
- Bucket Hats: Best fit for 2–6 years (56cm), with a chin strap and toggle so they stay put.
- Cotton Beanies: One size fits all. Stretchy knit that grows with them.
