The Sonny Story
Sonny Label was born out of equal parts love and frustration - a love for cute, well-made threads for my mini, and a frustration that every rack of boys’ clothes seemed to be covered in dinosaurs, sharks or camo print (amirite!?).
When my maternity leave was coming to an end and it was time to return to my corporate graphic design role, I couldn’t shake the pull to stay home with my little best friend. So, Sonny Label came to life.
During nap times and snack breaks, I began designing and sewing small pieces for my son, Banks - clothes that felt as fun and unique as him. Before long, it turned into something much bigger: a way to keep creating, stay home, and share our pieces with other mums and minis who love a bit of colour and play, too.
A few years on, with three little boys now in tow - Banks, Zephyr and Wilkes - Sonny Label has grown far beyond a nap-time hobby. Every collection is designed with love and intention, and produced in small runs by ethical, sustainable makers around the world. Each order is still hand-packed by me, a one woman show, with so much love.
